How much do I charge and why?

Because every human is unique, every client has unique requirements. Because of this I don't have a fixed price range, rather I tailor clients sites to meet both their expectations and their budget. That said, recent commissions generally started at around £600 for a basic fully updateable site. This provides you with an unlimited number of standard pages and a secure administration system meaning you don't have to pay me again to update a few words or even a whole page's text on your site.

Extra features such as photo galleries, music players and blogs can be added to your site individually and on request, meaning that you only have to pay for what you want, not things you'll never use.

Each feature entails an extra charge. How much extra charge is entirely dependent on exactly what you require. As a rough guide, a photo gallery that allows for changing your photos whenever you like will cost about £200 on top of your site quote. However, if all you want is a photo gallery and nothing else, this won't cost you £800! Like I say, prices are tailored on a per client basis.

Large scale web applications or online shops can be quoted for on an hourly, daily, weekly or per-project basis. They typically start at £1000 but for a more accurate estimate please get in touch with me and include an overview of what you need. I'll get back to you with a more accurate quote just as soon as I can!

If you need a domain name, then I can register this for you, at cost price. As a guideline, domains cost from £5.98 for a .co.uk domain for 2 years, or £9.99 for a .com domain for 1 year.

My prices are summarised below. VAT is not currently payable.

Bespoke Website (inc. 1 years hosting and domain) from £600
Hosting per year from £601
Domain Name (.co.uk for 2 years) £5.982

I accept payment via electronic bank transfer (BACS), by credit card via. google checkout, or by cheque. If you choose to pay by cheque the funds will need to have cleared before I will put your website live.

I do not ask for payment up front, but I do require every customer to complete and return a personalised version of my Terms and Conditions.

In other words, nothing is impossible and no price is fixed!
